Vampire Weekend Confirm Album Title in 'New York Times,' Announce Tour

After tricking us all with Lemon Sounds and then hinting at the real title with a cryptic GIF, Vampire Weekend have finally let loose the details for their upcoming third LP.

While we're afraid to believe them, the record has been confirmed to be called Modern Vampires in the City. After the band simply Tweeted "NYT classifieds...", an album announcement appeared in today's edition of the newspaper. It also coincides with the cryptic GIF's "MVOTC" hint.

The tracklisting for Modern Vampires of the City is available below, along with a batch of tour dates that include a Toronto stop on May 16.

XL will issue Modern Vampires of the City on May 7.
