As we reported earlier today, celeb gossip boy toy Perez Hilton was involved in a little scuffle with Black Eyed Peas front-man Will.I.Am after the MuchMusic Video Awards. Well, now the police are involved, and Black Eyes Peas tour manager has been charged with assault for allegedly punching the blogger outside a Toronto nightclub.
According to a Billboard report, the celebs ran in to each other at Toronto's Cobra nightclub. Fergie and Will.I.Am supposedly approached the blogger, asking him to stop writing about them on his popular site. It got heated, and Perez ended up calling Will.I.Am a "faggot."
"He [Will.I.Am] was like 'You need to respect me.' He was in my face. He was obviously trying to intimidate me and scare me," Hilton said in a statement. "I was like 'I don't need to respect you. I don't respect you and I did say this, and I knew that it would be the worst thing I could possibly say to him because he was acting the way he was. I said 'You know what, I don't respect you and you're gay and stop being such a faggot.'"
Tour manager Polo Molina then allegedly punched Hilton in the back of the head when he was leaving the club at about 3 a.m. Molina has turned himself into the authorities, and will be appearing in court on August 5, Toronto police told Billboard.
Hopefully this closes the book on one of the least interesting celebrity beefs since Donald Trump squared off against Rosie O'Donell.
