Last year, German indie rock trio Unhappybirthday released their excellent Schauer album on cassette through Night People. Since you most likely missed it, Vancouver imprint Kingfisher Bluez has expanded the album for a vinyl release.
The songs on Schauer were "recorded in a room with a tape machine." They pair the band's subtle, guitar-based pop compositions with minimal drum machine work, and the result is one hell of a smooth listen.
