As previously reported, U2 are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their ambitious, game-changing Achtung Baby with an epic box set, but they're not the only high-profile artist saluting the song cycle -- Q has culled artists like Depeche Mode, the Killers and Nine Inch Nails for a tributary compilation that salutes the 1991 album.
We already heard Jack White's cover of "Love Is Blindness" from the release, dubbed AHK-toong BAY-bi Covered, but you can now catch the minimalist, e-bow and euro-club vibe-led interpretation of "So Cruel" by Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails' breathy, minimalist motorik attempt at "Zoo Station," and the Killers' campy and theatrical run-through of "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)."
Listen to all the covers below. You can grab the disc later this week when the new issue of Q hits newsstands.
As previously reported, U2's massive Achtung Baby box arrives October 31.
