Twin Shadow's upcoming "Eclipse" tour had been billed as "the only North American tour this year where you can see Twin Shadow." Evidently most of us won't get to see the songwriter known as George Lewis Jr. at all in 2014, since he just cancelled the majority of the dates.
Twin Shadow had planned to be on the road in our continent from September through to late October, but most of the shows have been axed, including a Toronto stop on September 20. The festival gigs are still going ahead, however, meaning that Montreal and Halifax remain on the itinerary.
Twin Shadow said that the tour has been cancelled so that the band can ensure their show lives up to their ambitions. He offered this statement on his website.
To all of our awesome fans, I am very sorry to announce that we will be postponing this Fall's North American ECLIPSE TOUR. There are a lot of really great things going on behind the scenes of Twin Shadow that I want to tell you badly about, but we need to take some time to make sure everything settles perfectly. While the band is more than excited to get out on the road and see you, there have been several moving parts that have lead us to re-evaluate the time that we have to launch our North American ECLIPSE TOUR. As our ambitions with the live show and the music grow, we want to make sure we get it right.
