Friday is here once more, and that means you can find some exciting new film reviews here at Exclaim.ca for your reading pleasure. So come visit our Recently Reviewed motion section for a take on what will be of cinematic importance this weekend.
First off, the third Twilight instalment The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is sure to make Twihards happy with its release this weekend. Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) bring back the vampire romance after leaving viewers with a cliff-hanging ending in New Moon. This time around Bella finds herself encircled by danger from the vengeful vampire Victoria and must choose between her desire for a vampire and friendship with a werewolf.
Tehroun proves to be a corrosive vignette of modern Iran, and according to our reviewer, it's "one of the more risqué and edgy titles to come from Iran as of late." And then there is The Last Airbender, directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Not to spoil the review for you, but as our reviewer writes, "M. Night Shyamalan has made some very bad films, but never before has he made such a black hole."
Also, check out our review of Solitary Man, where Michael Douglas and Susan Sarandon star in the flick about a former successful car dealer who reaches a crossroads in his life that sends him on a path of self-destruction. Lastly, Love Ranch follows a married couple, played by Joe Pesci and Helen Mirren, that notoriously opened the first legal brothel in the U.S. during the 1970s.
