TV on the Radio to Return with New LP

Usually, when a band say they're going on "hiatus" it means that they're gone forever. Fortunately for fans of Brooklyn art-rock troupe TV on the Radio, the hiatus in question was just a working vacation. While members focused on myriad side-projects, a film score and even a stint with Jane's Addiction, word has leaked that TV on the Radio will return this spring with a new album.

Details are scarce, but Pitchfork is reporting that the band will release a new album called Nine Types of Light this spring. There's no proper release date just yet, but the album is reportedly due out on Interscope.

For now, that's all we've got but stay tuned for updates as they become available.

TV on the Radio's last release was 2008's Dear Science.
