Toronto Urban Roots Festival has quickly become a staple in Torontonians' summer music festival calendar, and the event will return to Fort York Garrison Common again this year, running from September 16 to 18.

The initial lineup of performers has just been revealed, and it features James Bay, Death Cab for Cutie and a still-to-be-announced artist in the headlining slots.

Fleshing out the weekend's roster are Barenaked Ladies, Dropkick Murphys, Explosions in the Sky, Jake Bugg, Matthew Good, Lush, the Sheepdogs, the Hives, Lake Street Dive, Matt Andersen & the Bona Fide, Guided By Voices, Rheostatics, Matt Mays, Drive By Truckers, the Felice Brothers, Okkervil River, Corb Lund, the Mekons, Marlon Williams, Julien Baker, John Moreland, Skinny Lister and Midnight Shines.

The final lineup will boast 44 acts across four stages, so there are still more to be announced in the coming months. If you're already excited enough, though, tickets go on sale tomorrow (May 27) at noon local time.

Full information about the festival can be found at TURF's official website.
