A Friday the 13th falling in the month of October could make for some spooky happenings, and to mark the scary season, Trent Reznor has revealed plans to cover John Carpenter's theme from Halloween.

As an Amazon listing shows, the track will arrive tomorrow (October 13) through Sacred Bones and Reznor's own Null Corporation. The cover also features the help of Reznor's Nine Inch Nails bandmate Atticus Ross.

You can hear a sample of the track here.

Carpenter is also set to revisit his greatest work with the arrival of Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 on October 20. That release is also due out via Sacred Bones.

Of course, the horror score icon is also involved with a forthcoming Halloween remake from David Gordon Green and Danny McBride.
