Tory Lanez Says He Apologized to Megan Thee Stallion for "Fucking 2 Best Friends," Not Shooting Her

The felony assault case finally went to trial while both parties continue the debacle on social media

As the trial date for the felony assault case between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez was being postponed in a hearing yesterday (February 23), a flurry of online rumours began to swirl, thanks, in part, to media personality DJ Akademiks.

Before the hearing had even begun, Akademiks took to Twitter to claim that no DNA evidence was found on the gun that allegedly shot Megan Pete in 2020.

"UPDATE: Tory Lanez trial adjourned til April with Tory's lawyer telling the court they have completed DNA results from the prosecution which is very pleasing to his client," Akademiks wrote, adding that he saw the document himself and that it was inconclusive in finding the Brampton-hailing rapper's DNA.

Last November, Peterson passed on a plea deal for the case, maintaining his not guilty plea on both counts charged: assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. If convicted, he could face nearly 23 years in prison.

The two rappers are expected to head to court on April 5.

Megan Thee Stallion is also in another legal battle with record label 1501 Entertainment, this time over what constitutes an album.
