Continuing his steady run of single drops, Toronto MC Portion has returned with another new drop in "Hella Clean."
In a statement, Portion reveals that "Hella Clean" was recorded in Atlanta, fresh off signing his recording deal with Warner Music Canada.
Over a plaintive piano loop, he lays out the trials and tribulations faced on his journey to the top, chronicling "my struggles and growth towards the next chapter in life."
"We've been at the bottom for so long that we've gotten used to the way of living; we think it's normal to go through certain struggles," he adds. "'Let that choppa sing like a money machine' is about the gun violence we experience to then making our way up and established in the world."
