Toronto's Manifesto Festival Gets Isaiah Rashad, Bishop Nehru, Tre Mission for 2014 Edition

The Manifesto Festival of Community & Culture is heading into its eighth annual instalment later this month, with organizers for the Toronto event confirming that this year's festivities include performances from Top Dawg Entertainment member Isaiah Rashad and rising New York rapper Bishop Nehru, among others.

Manifesto 2014 runs September 17 to 22, starting off with a free with RSVP performance at Revival featuring Tennessean Rashad, Tasha the Amazon, Tre Mission and Dillon Ponders, with DJ Caff spinning throughout the night.

Among the other events, a free show will be held at Yonge-Dundas Square on September 20, with artists attached to the concert including singer/producer Ryan Leslie, Bishop Nehru, SBTRKT collaborator Raury, Tanika Charles with Slakah the Beatchild, Saukrates, King Reign, Septo and more. The day will also feature a one-on-one b-boy championship and an onstage dance battle.

Other events include an art show featuring graffiti artist Mister Cartoon, a low-rider showcase and live tattooing; the "Rumble in Regent" DJ battle on September 19 at Daniels Spectrum; and a series of workshops on September 21.
