Toronto's BB Guns Announce Debut EP: 'Baby I Hate You'

Published Apr 24, 2013
Toronto garage-pop newcomers the BB Guns have been earning some buzz in their home city, and now they're getting ready to make their mark with their debut EP. Baby I Hate You is due out on May 7 through Marineville Records.
The album was produced by Brian Borcherdt of Holy Fuck/Dusted, and the four punchy tunes that make up the EP all fit onto a 7-inch.
For a taste of the five-piece's hazily summery sound, check out a video for the EP cut "Pennie Lane." The song mixes sunny punk with bristly pop and even a faint hint of folk-country, while the clip shows a woman in stars-and-stripes pants spending a lazy day grocery shopping and hanging out on the beach.
