Today (March 29), Carpark Records released a split single from chillwave sensation Toro y Moi and fuzz pop up-and-comers Cloud Nothings. Now, we have the former's contribution to the seven-inch.
The song is called "I Will Talk to You," and it's a dark and experimental pop tune that's a major departure from Toro y Moi's fun and funky new LP Underneath the Pine. It places angular piano chords and swirling synth ambience overtop of a driving electro beat. It's another impressive display of diversity from songwriter Chaz Bundick, who has already delved into dance music, garage rock and disco-inflected soul.
