Last week, we reported that much-loved musical eccentric Tom Waits seemed to have something up his sleeve, with a cryptic post on the songwriter's website hinting at a big reveal on Tuesday (August 23). This came with word of a new single called "Bad As Me" and even hopes of a new studio album. Well, Waits delivered all.
As a pre-order page on iTunes confirms, Waits will release the new studio album Bad As Me on October 25 via Anti-. This will mark his first proper full-length since 2004's Real Gone.
We're guessing Waits will shed a bit more light on the album soon via his website. But as of press time, you can see a thumbnail of the album cover on iTunes, where you can buy the album's title track, and that's the record's tracklist below. UPDATE: Anti- has confirmed the release of Bad As Me, adding that the deluxe version will include a 40-page book of lyrics and photos taken by Waits himself, along with three bonus tracks. The album, which features the cover above, will also be available on 180-gram vinyl, which will include the LP and CD, plus a full-size 12-page book.
