Tim Hecker

"Castrati Stack" (video)

Tim Hecker is gearing up to release his latest LP Love Streams later this year, and to keep the anticipation building, he's shared a video for album cut "Castrati Stack."

The crackling static, strings and choral arrangements of the atmospheric song are paired with old, blurry black and white footage of a martial parade, though bright white contrast makes the key figures difficult to identify. It was directed by Brett Stabler.

The "Castrati Stack" clip comes just a day after the Canadian electronic experimenter revealed plans to return to Luminato Festival's Unsound Toronto on June 11, and you can watch it right now in the player below.

Love Streams marks the follow-up to 2013's Virgins, and it will arrive on April 8 through Paper Bag Records in Canada and 4AD in the rest of the world.
