Popular TikTok star and R&B artist Zaria destroyed sexist assumptions about her music interests earlier this month after she was called out for wearing a Metallica shirt in a dance video.
Zaria hit back at a troll who dared her to "name three Metallica songs," instead upping the ante by shredding several of their songs on her guitar. In one video, Zaria rips through "Master Of Puppets" and "Enter Sandman" before finger-tapping her way through "One." Since her first post a few weeks ago, she's gone as far as to start taking requests now too.
"My response to you guys is like, 'Really, only three songs?'" Zaria said in her reply. "How 'bout I play them on guitar for you! Just because I sing R&B music doesn't mean I can't like metal."
Now that Zaria has gone viral for her musicianship, she's hoping the band will catch wind of her talents, and has encouraged her followers to tag Metallica in her videos on social media. Until the band offers up their response, watch Zaria shred through their catalogue in the clips below.
