Thurston Moore Maps Out Tour Dates, Shares 'Cease Fire'

Thurston Moore has announced plans to hit the road again in the coming months, and he's shared a brand new single to boot.
The former Sonic Youth guitarist will play a couple one-off gigs in Paris and London in March and April, respectively, before kicking off a string of North American shows in Vancouver. He'll play the Imperial on May 8, marking his only Canadian date on the tour. He'll then head stateside, followed by a European jaunt throughout May and June.

See the full itinerary below.
That's also where you'll find a brand new track by Moore, titled "Cease Fire." Perhaps unsurprising given his recent affiliation with Bernie Sanders, the tune is a politically charged one, advocating for peace and urging people to, well, cease fire.

A full statement from the musician about the new track reads:
Guns are designed to kill and we, as non-violent human beings, are against the killing of any person or animal. The song is also about the power of love, in all its freedom of choice. A power that no gun can extinguish as love will rule always. Melt down your guns and kiss your neighbor.
