Three Mile Pilot Return with 'Maps' EP, Chart West Coast Tour

San Diego indie outfit Three Mile Pilot delivered The Inevitable Past Is the Future Forgotten, their first full-length in 11 years, back in 2010, but fans won't have to wait another decade for some new material. The group will offer up a new EP, Maps, this summer.

The five-song effort arrives July 24 through Temporary Residence Ltd. According to a press release, it builds off the glossier direction off The Inevitable Past Is the Future Forgotten while "returning to some of their exploratory roots in a unique and refreshing way."

Opening track "Long Way Up," described as Three Mile Pilot's most triumphant number yet, features a "tasteful use of guitars, synths and deep grooves." You can download the track here.

Three Mile Pilot will also be embarking on a quick trip up the West Coast in August, but Canadian fans should know they'll only be coming as far north as Seattle. Regardless, you can check the dates down below.
