Back in March, Jack White's Third Man Records gave Jay Z's 2013 album Magna Carta Holy Grail a limited-edition vinyl pressing as a box set with eight 7-inches. If you thought that prior edition was a little too fancy-schmancy and labour intensive — not to mention hard to find, since it didn't get a widespread commercial release — Third Man has now issued the record as a more tradition double LP.
Magna Carta Holy Grail is split across two 180-gram LPs and comes with a lyric sheet; it's all housed in gatefold packaging. But wait, it gets even snazzier! There's actually a concealed, postcard-style flexi-disc in the packaging, which is only available by cutting open a flap on the back cover with a knife. This contains what an announcement dubs a "secret hidden track."
Below, check out a short promo video that showcases this vinyl pressing and explains how to access the flexi-disc. That's a photo of the package above.
The record is now available to buy from Third Man's online store. It will arrive in independent record stores in the coming weeks.
