In what may be the most brilliant pop culture mashup of all time, some of music's biggest stars now serve as the background music to footage of Soviet soldiers dancing.

For the last month, Twitter user @communistbops has been merging music and primarily Soviet-era film clips, and the results are endlessly amusing.

Earlier today, the Strokes' "Last Nite" was paired with dancing and accordion-playing young men in a particularly delightful clip.

Plenty of other scenes have paired excellently with plenty of other songs, though. There are clips featuring music by the Smiths, Outkast, Wham!, Britney Spears, N*SYNC, Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift, Nirvana, the Killers, Eminem, MC Hammer, Dolly Parton, Shakira, Lizzo and more.

The list goes on and on — and honestly, they're all great.
