Do you want to learn more about Taylor Swift? Do you already know everything about her and want that fact validated with a numerical grade? Then NYU has the class for you.

As reported by Variety, NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music has launched its first-ever course on Taylor Swift, taught by Rolling Stone staff writer Brittany Spanos. The course began January 26 and is set to run until March 9. In a tweet about the news, Spanos wrote: "My official comment is that my students already rule and I am very excited for the rest of the class xo."

The class will reportedly outline the evolution of Swift's career as a songwriter and entrepreneur and discuss the exploitation of youth and girlhood in the entertainment industry. It'll also examine the politics of race in contemporary pop music, the legacy of country and pop music, and more Swift-related topics. The course is chaired by music writer and artist Jason King.

Apparently, Swift has been invited to come speak to the class, but there's been no confirmation on whether that'll actually happen. Gotta wonder if that whole Damon Albarn debacle will make its way into the curriculum.
