After Godspeed You! Black Emperor took the 2013 Polaris Music Prize, members of the band are now focusing in on their work as Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra, who have announced a new album.
The likeminded symphonic rock project, which features Godspeed's Efrim Menuck, Thierry Amar and Sophie Trudeau, will release their new album called Fuck Off Get Free We Pour Light on Everything on January 21 via Constellation.
The album follows 2010's Kollaps Tradixionales, and sees the group pared down to a five-piece lineup.
Among the album's six tracks is a tribute to Pro Era rapper Capital Steez, who passed away last December at the age of 19.
