"Fruit Salad!"

Australian children's band the Wiggles made an appearance at Triple J radio to perform a cover of Tame Impala's "Elephant" for the station's Like a Version cover series.

Honouring their fellow Aussies, the six-piece band offered a mashup of Kevin Parker's 2012 Lonerism hit and the Wiggles' classic "Fruit Salad" for an extremely cool kid-friendly performance, all whilst the band's bassist wore a stuffed elephant head.

"We chose it because we like elephants," said the group in an interview. "We wanted to choose something Australian. We know people take [Like A Version] very seriously. So we didn't want to stuff it up. Also, it's an amazing song, and it's deceptively hard."

The songs, while miles apart in genres and targeted demographics, made for a surprisingly well-meshed edition of Version. Watch the band perform "Elephant" below, where you can also watch Triple J's interview with the Wiggles.
