The Tragically Hip's 1991 album Road Apples is turning 30. Not only are the band digging up some unreleased tracks from that time for a new record called Saskadelphia, Thornbury Craft has used that very apple-y album as the inspiration for a new cider.The cider — which is available online and is coming to liquor stores across the country — is a dry cider made with 100 percent local apple juice. It's 5.1 percent alcohol and, per a product description, "has a clean, fresh apple flavour and aroma, light-body, with a smooth, lingering, crisp apple finish." It's naturally vegan and gluten free, with no sugar added.
It was made with collaboration from members of the Hip. As you can see above, the can has a snazzy design modelled after the Road Apples album cover.
