The New Nicki Minaj Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds in Berlin Is Frightening

And inaccurate

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jan 7, 2020

Madame Tussauds in Berlin revealed the latest wax figure in its collection with a statue of Nicki Minaj that looks like, well, not Nicki Minaj.

A number of Minaj fans (and people with eyesight in general) have noted that the wax interpretation of the rapper is a little wonky in the face, significantly less plump in the backside and noticeable lighter in skin colour.

Based on a still of Minaj from the "Anaconda" video, the statue sees Minaj on all fours, wearing a chainmail bikini top and black bottoms — but the outfit seems to be the only thing Twitter isn't complaining about.

UPDATE (1/8, 2 p.m. EST): Just an FYI that the figure actually debuted back in 2015, and it was even approved by Minaj herself. Learn more here

The chain of museums has come under fire before. In 2017, it unveiled a Beyoncé statue that many slammed as white-washed.
