The Lemon Twigs are officially back. Today the D'Addario brothers announced they are returning with the new album, Songs for the General Public, which will arrive on May 1 via 4AD. What's more, the group have already shared the first single "The One," as well as announced a North American tour, complete with Canadian dates.

UPDATE (3/26, 12:30 p.m. ET): The Lemon Twigs have now postponed the album release until August, as well as delayed all their upcoming tour dates, due to COVID-19. So far, no rescheduled dates have been revealed.

Songs for the General Public was written, recorded and produced by the D'Addarios at their Long Island home studio, Sonora Studios in Los Angeles and New York City's Electric Lady. The album marks the third Lemon Twigs album, and it follows 2018's Go to School.

For a taste of what's in store, you can hear the lead-off single "The One," which has arrived alongside a video directed by Michael Hili featuring Brian and Michael D'Addario.

As for the band's tour, it will kick off in late April, making its way to various U.S. cities and a few Canadian ones. North of the border, the tour will touch down in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. You can see the full schedule below, where you will also find the album's tracklist.
