The Killers Honour the Cars' Ric Ocasek with "My Best Friend's Girl" Cover

They performed their tribute during a show in Bethlehem, PA

Last night (September 19), the Killers paid special tribute to the late the Cars frontman Ric Ocasek with a cover of "My Best Friend's Girl."

Interrupting their 2004 hit "All These Things That I've Done" during their performance in Bethlehem, PA, Brandon Flowers went full-on '70s for the band's rendition of the the Cars' 1978 classic.

Flowers and the Killers are only the most recent in a wave of musicians and celebrities to pay tribute to the late Ocasek. Weezer, Peter Frampton, Billy Corgan, Ice-T, Courtney Love and more have all shared their appreciation this week.

Ocasek died this past Sunday (September 15) from heart disease. He had just undergone surgery and was in recovery at home when he passed. He was 75 years old.
