The Hold Steady's Craig Finn Announces 'We All Want the Same Things' Solo LP

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Dec 22, 2016

The Hold Steady spent a lot of 2016 celebrating past accomplishments, touring Boys & Girls in America and reissuing their first two records, but frontman Craig Finn is moving forward and looking to release some brand solo material in 2017.

He's just announced that his third album will be titled We All Want the Same Things, and it's set to arrive on March 24 through Partisan Records. Pre-orders begin on January 10.

According to an Instagram post, the record features "lots of really cool people," and is about "love, survival and a bunch of other stuff."

The upcoming album marks Finn's follow-up to 2015's Faith in the Future. He released his first solo album Clear Heart Full Eyes back in 2012.

Finn will also be embarking on a living room tour across the United States in January. Tickets and information will become available soon over here.

While we await further details for We All Want the Same Things, relive "Newmyer's Roof" from Faith in the Future below.
