The Flaming Lips Are Playing Vancouver on an "Intimate" West Coast Tour

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Dec 10, 2019

As the year winds down, the Flaming Lips are looking ahead to their 2020, and it turns out that includes a series of "intimate theatre shows" on the West Coast.

The trek kicks off in April, and it's a brief one, with the Lips only playing six dates on the run. The final stop, however, finds them playing Vancouver on June 21. The venue will be the Commodore Ballroom, and we'll leave it up to you to decide if that qualifies as an "intimate theatre."

See the full schedule below. Tickets go on sale Friday (December 13) at 10 a.m. local time.

The news of the tour comes shortly after the Flaming Lips announced a collaborative album alongside Deap Vally as Deap Lips. That self-titled record arrives on March 13 via Cooking Vinyl.

The Flaming Lips also put out The Soft Bulletin: Live at Red Rocks last month via Warner Records, while their studio effort King's Mouth: Music and Songs arrived earlier this year.
