The Flaming Lips and Deap Vally are joining forces for a new collaborative album. The joint project is being logically called Deap Lips, and the group's self-titled debut album is due out March 13 via Cooking Vinyl.

If you've been paying attention to the bands this year, the project shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. After all, Wayne Coyne and co., as well as Deap Vally, have been teasing it for a while now.
In addition to the album announcement today, we have also received the album's first teaser track, which is called "Hope Hell High." You can hear that song below, where you'll also find the album's tracklisting.

The news follows the Flaming Lips' recent live effort, The Soft Bulletin: Live at Red Rocks, which arrived late last month through Warner Records. They also released the studio effort King's Mouth: Music and Songs this year.

Deap Lips:

1. Home Thru Hell

2. One Thousand Sisters With Aluminum Foil Calculators

5. Motherfuckers Got to Go
