Swedish alt-pop band the Cardigans have shared a clip of themselves rehearsing what appears to be their first new music in almost two decades.

Posted yesterday (June 12) to the group's Facebook page, the video features bassist Magnus Sveningsson leading the viewer into a rehearsal space and saying, "Hey you guys, it's me Magnus. We're at Inkonst venue in Malmo and we're gonna look behind this door, there might be something exciting."

He then enters a rehearsal space where the band are playing what sounds like their first new music since 2005's Super Extra Gravity. The video is captioned "In this very moment."

The band, who formed in 1992, went on hiatus between 2007 and 2011 and haven't released a studio album since 2005. In 2018, they announced that they'd be heading out on tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 1998's Gran Turismo
