Last month, long-running Afghan Whigs guitarist Dave Rosser sadly passed away at 50 following a battle with cancer. Now, his old bandmates are paying tribute to the fallen member with a new cover song.
The Afghan Whigs have recorded a cover of "You Want Love" by New Orleans band Pleasure Club, with that group's singer, James Hall, even appearing on the redo.
"Pleasure Club was a legendary New Orleans band and Dave Rosser and I had spoken for years about performing this song," Afghan Whigs' Greg Dulli said in a statement. "In light of his passing we decided to record it in his honour."
You can listen to the cover below, where you can also grab it as a free download.
The Afghan Whigs' most recent album was this year's In Spades.
