Thao & the Get Down Stay Down teamed with tUnE-yArDs' Merrill Garbus to make the former's latest LP A Man Alive. Now, they've kept the creative partnership alive for a new Funny or Die sketch.
In the new clip, bandleader Thao Nguyen and Garbus don the looks and affectations of Justin Bieber and Skrillex to delve into the process behind album track "Astonished Man," with the whole thing parodying the New York Times' recent video piece on Bieber, Skrillix and Diplo. The end results are pretty douche-y and ridiculous — which is to say, they deliver spot-on impressions.
