Telefon Tel Aviv Again a Duo, Announce First North American Tour Since Member's Death

Despite the tragic, untimely death of founding member Charlie Cooper, New Orleans electronic duo Telefon Tel Aviv decided to push through with promoting their fantastic fourth album Immolate Yourself. With only Joshua Eustis now onboard, he enlisted close friend Fredo Nogueira to join him on the road.

In a statement made in March, Eustis explained his decision, saying, "I've decided to play shows (I know, I know, it's not exactly a big deal, but hey...). Fredo is going to come with me and play keyboards and sing backups. Some of you may know who he is already, but if not, he has co-written some things with TTA and basically been our best friend for a million years. He's always around when we're making a record. We'll be playing mostly stuff from the new LP, and some even newer stuff, so please come out and help us move things forward!"

Now, the group is playing North America on their first headlining tour since Cooper's death. Kicking off in Ann Arbor, MI, on September 8, the band will travel across the continent, hitting up a number of major cities including Canadian stops in Toronto and Montreal.
