Tears for Fears to Reissue 'Songs from the Big Chair' in Expanded Deluxe Form

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 29, 2014

Almost 30 years since Tears for Fears told us to shout and let it all out, the British new wave dramatists are preparing to reissue their iconic 1985 disc Songs from the Big Chair. This beefed-up version of the album will be out on November 4 through Mercury Records.

The reissue will be available in various formats, the most elaborate of which is the "Super Deluxe Edition." The six-disc box set includes four CDs and two DVDs. These include a newly remastered version of the album, plus surround sound mixes, nine unreleased tracks, and what an announcement calls "a multitude of remixes and B-sides."

Naturally, there are plenty of versions of the hits "Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World." There's also a 30-page replica tour program and 32-page booklet.

See the full six-disc tracklist right here, where you can also pre-order the reissue. Other formats include double-CD, remastered single CD, 180-gram audiophile vinyl, and Pure Audio Blu-ray. The reissue will also be released digitally.

Of course, there's always the option of digging through a bargain bin and finding an old vinyl copy if you aren't fussed about all that bonus material.
