Taylor Swift dropped her "You Need to Calm Down" video yesterday (June 17), and it featured cameos from a whole bunch of famous friends. Naturally, Swift shared the new clip via Twitter and tagged her pals — but she seemed to forget Ryan Reynolds' handle and tagged some dude in Evansville, IN, instead.

Ryan G. Reynolds holds the account for @RyanReynolds, and his Twitter mentions exploded pretty fast, both with retweets by Swifties and his own followers laughing at the mishap.

Of course, Swift actually meant to tag @VanCityReynolds (you know, the guy who plays Deadpool).

Luckily Ryan G. Reynolds had a good sense of humour about the whole thing, tweeting back at Swift that he's actually a big fan of her music — "especially 'Style' and 'Shake It Off.'"

He also admitted, "I'm so old and lame."

The Evansville Reynolds also replied to some tweets, admitting he'd had to turn off his notifications as the likes and retweets climbed into the thousands. Like it or not, the Taylor Nation has embraced him as one of their own.

See some of the responses below.

Some Swifties weren't so quick to believe that their queen would ever make a mistake, though, and think it might even be an Easter egg. Just like that recent merch typo.

We're gonna say it really was just an old-fashioned typo, though, since Swift took down the tweet and tagged the actor in a follow-up.

"You Need to Calm Down" will appear on Swift's upcoming album Lover, which arrive August 23 through Republic.
