Today is a day of reckoning for beefing celebs. While the great Drake/Meek Mill ghostwriting war rages on, the smaller spat between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift appears to have slowed down as both artists have reached closure on their social media pages. Thank goodness, we can finally get some sleep again.
Minaj, for her part, shared an Instagram photo excerpting a piece from Marie Claire. In its caption, she thanked all of the media outlets who boosted her voice and didn't dismiss her argument. (Well, almost all of the media outlets. Thanks for nothing!)
She wrote, "Nothing to do with any of the women, but everything to do with a system that doesn't credit black women for their contributions to pop culture as freely/quickly as they reward others. We are huge trendsetters, not second class citizens that get thrown crumbs."
In turn, Taylor Swift apologized to Nicki with a tweet:
And Nicki responded:
Now that that all seems to be settled, Taylor Swift can move on to bigger problems like that whole Tianenmen Square thing.
