Taylor Hawkins's Preliminary Toxicology Report Released

The Foo Fighters drummer had 10 substances in his system at the time of his death

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins tragically died on Friday (March 25) at the age of 50. While an official cause of death has not yet been confirmed, a preliminary toxicology report has found that he had drugs in his system.

Colombia's Attorney General's Office said that a urine toxicology test found that Hawkins had 10 substances in his system when he died, including cannabis, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants and benzodiazepines [via CNN].

According to a separate statement from local health authorities, emergency services responded to a report of a patient with chest pain at a hotel in Chapinero, a locality in the north of Bogotá. An ambulance was sent, but Hawkins could not be resuscitated and was declared dead at the scene. The Spanish-language announcement is below.
