The Tallest Man on Earth Teams Up with Idiot Wind for Film Score

Sweden's the Tallest Man on Earth hasn't released a new album in 2011, but songwriter Kristian Matsson is giving us plenty of material to tide us over. He's already announced an Adult Swim single, plus a reissue of his debut EP; now he's unveiled plans for a film score.

TwentyFourBit reports that Matsson and duet partner Amanda Bergman (aka Idiot Wind) have written the music for Once a Year, a romantic drama directed by Gorki Glaser-Müller about two lovers' annual affair over a 30-year period.

Matsson and Bergman have apparently penned seven new songs written just for the film. There's no word as to exactly when the movie or soundtrack will be out, but the filmmakers are reportedly aiming for a 2011 release.

In the video below, watch the two songwriters serenade each another sweetly on one microphone as they play the Tallest Man on Earth's "Thrown Right at Me." If the soundtrack is anywhere near this romantic, it should be a good one.
