T-Pain Accuses Kanye West of Stealing One of His "Corny Lines"

"He was like, 'Don't ever say anything like that'"

Rapper and spearheading AutoTune artist T-Pain has claimed that Kanye West stole a lyric from him for 2010's My Dark Twisted Fantasy after saying that it was "corny."

T-Pain made the accusation on a recent Twitch livestream from September 1, recounting the story of when he wanted West's opinion on his Prevolver mixtape.

"Let me talk about a time that one of my corny lines got stolen," T-Pain said to begin his storytime. "I couldn't believe it. Kanye stole one of my corny lines after he told me it was corny."

Our tale takes place back around a decade ago. "I was working on [West and Jay-Z's] Watch the Throne and I was so proud of my new mixtape that I had coming. And it was mostly rap," T-Pain explained. "I was showing Kanye my shit to be like, 'Is this good rap?' I really wanted his fucking opinion."

"On one of the songs, I said, 'I got beef like two burgers / You n****s win slow and I'm smarter than Steve Urkel,'" referencing the '90s sitcom Family Matters. "Corny as fuck. I knew it was corny when I said it!"

The line appears on T-Pain's track "Danger," and then goes on to appear again on West's "Dark Fantasy." Well, kind of.

"[West] was like, 'Don't ever say anything like that,'" the rapper continued, "Then after that, one of his bars was, 'Too many Urkels on your team / That's why your wins low.' And I was like, 'Did this n**** try to get me to not say my shit so he could say it?'"

T-Pain added: "So this is why I say corny lines — 'cause in my heart, I know they're corny. But if the right person says it, it's not corny anymore apparently. When a n**** getting lifted to the fucking ceiling like a God with a light shining down on him and y'all n****s is paying $50 for fucking chicken fingers to listen to a fucking unfinished album," clearly referring to West's series of chaotic listening parties prior to the release of his new album Donda.

Those chicken fingers certainly aren't free of beef.

In a recent episode of Banger Films' limited series This is Pop, T-Pain also recounted slipping into a depression after Usher told him he "fucked up" music.

West recently got completely owned by Peppa Pig — maybe she and T-Pain should consider teaming up for the ultimate takedown and really go ham?
