SZA "Babylon" (ft. Kendrick Lamar)

SZA 'Babylon' (ft. Kendrick Lamar)
SZA's new Z record officially lands tomorrow (April 8), but the R&B singer's latest is getting a last minute tease via a collaboration with Top Dawg labelmate Kendrick Lamar called "Babylon."

After an intro of hypnotizing coos, decadent snare hits and a multipart harmony on the word "crucified," SZA fully drops into the song with softly sung lines about the last time she took advice from someone, contemplating hate and vaguely outlining some relationship problems.

Kendrick, meanwhile, talks Napoleon complexes, getting put on ice via unanswered phone calls, and treating his dark side as just "one of my moods."

Toss on a crown of thorns, just like SZA, and get crucified by the groove-heavy cut.
