Swedish House Mafia Spinoff Axwell Λ Ingrosso Set to Work on Debut Album

Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso used to make up two-thirds of Swedish House Mafia, and with that EDM group now a thing of the past, the two have formed a new project called Axwell Λ Ingrosso.

This week BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe confirmed that the pair are working on an album. "I was lucky enough to go down to the studio the other day and listen to a whole bunch of songs, some finished, some almost there," he said. "The album is going to be incredible."

He also shared a dramatic vocal snippet that will apparently serve as the intro to their live shows. This led into the previously performed track "We Come We Rave, We Love." This song was the show opener on their farewell tour with Swedish House Mafia.

This news comes a few days Axwell Λ Ingrosso posted "We Come We Rave, We Love" — in both standard and a cappella versions — on their SoundCloud page. Hear it below.

None of this comes as a complete surprise for followers of the party-starting producers, since Axwell Λ Ingrosso were already named as headliners at the Governor's Ball in New York on June 8. They have a smattering of late spring and summer dates on the horizon; see the schedule on their website.
