Superchunk are gearing up for a trip to Australia next week, and to celebrate they've unearthed an old concert recording from the last time they were Down Under, all the way back in 1996. As the seventh volume of their Clambakes series, it's been given the snappy and accurate title of Clambakes Vol 7: Shut the F*ck Up!...No, We Love You - Live at the Corner Hotel 1996.

Recorded in Melbourne on the last night of the band's tour, the 18-song set covers alot of territory. Buzzy punk-pop favourites like "Hyper Enough" and "Skip Steps 1 & 3," for instance, are played alongside the comparatively more low-key "Silverleaf and Snowy Tears," described here by the band as a "slow dance."

"It sounds like this was a fun night and I'm sure it was — Smudge and the 3Ds were on the bill — so please excuse a few glitches in the recording and enjoy the energy circa '96," guitarist/vocalist Mac McCaughan said in a statement.

If you're up for a booking a trip to see the 'Chunk, you'll find their Australian tour info over here.
