While A Sunny Day in Glasgow just released a Christmas tape, they're back to promoting their album Sea When Absent with a remix of "In Love with Useless (The Timeless Geometry in the Tradition of Passing)" by exuberant rockers Fang Island.
This isn't too radical a change from the soaring dream-pop swirl of the original, but Fang Island make it their own by sending the arrangement skyward with a celebratory surge.
The remix recently appeared on the limited-edition No Death EP that was packaged with select UK copies of Sea When Absent. The reason for sharing it now is that Fang Island member Jason Bartell's new band Wins will open for A Sunny Day in Glasgow at a few U.S. shows this month.
