The Sunday Sinners

"What Goes On”

BY Cam LindsayPublished Feb 23, 2007

This gang of leather’n’denim clad rockers (four girls and one guy) dress like the Ramones, worship the Velvet Underground and sound like they bathe in reverb daily. Yes, the Sunday Sinners may appear to be from the mean streets of NYC, but no, they’re from Montreal and sing about doing the laundry. Okay, but that’s only one song. This cover of the Velvets’ classic finds the young band staying true to the patented jam while adding their own soulful blend of Jenna’s powerfully emotive vocals and a commanding Farfisa that works like a charm in the thick haze of reverb.
