Sudbury's urban art and music festival Up Here is gearing up for its fifth annual edition this year, and organizers have now revealed the first wave of artists set to play the 2019 event.

Taking place from August 16 to 18 in downtown Sudbury, Up Here 5 will be headlined by storied Bronx outfit ESG, BC rap upstarts Snotty Nose Rez Kids and Montreal synth duo Milk & Bone.

Other acts following close behind include Hubert Lenoir, Yonatan Gat, Charlotte Cardin, Reykjavíkurdætur, Cartel Madras, Steven Lambke, Ric Wilson, Naya Ali, Pale Lips, Police des moeurs, Camilla Sparksss, Xarah Dion and Art d'Ecco.

In addition to those acts, Up Here will include large-scale installation art, new murals, an outdoor artistic playground and further pop-up concerts in existing and alternative venues.

Up Here's fifth edition will also feature the return of its signature geodesic dome, which will host its own slate of musical acts and DJs on Durham Street. The fest's selection of local artists and public art programming will be announced in May.

Festival passports are now available for $110 each. Individual tickets will go on sale mid-May when the complete lineup and schedule are revealed.

Further Up Here information can be found through the festival's official website.
