Sub Pop Resurrect Singles Club

As Sub Pop sets up for its 20th birthday bash, the influential Seattle label is bringing back its highly distinguished and much-missed singles club. Starting August 15, Sub Pop will be shipping out a new single each month for the next year, bringing lucky subscribers exclusive — and likely soon to be highly eBay-valuable — seven-inches by the likes of Black Mountain, the Notwist, Black Lips, Mika Miko, Arthur & Yu, Tyvek, Unnatural Helpers, Blues Control, as well as a few more unannounced groups.

Since we indeed live in the digital age, Sub Pop is also including an MP3 voucher with each vinyl release, so you can rock the tunes in both digital and old school analog. However, if you want to get in on all this you better act quick. The singles are limited to 1,500 copies a piece, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

To sign up, visit the label’s website, drop $75 (or $90 if you live outside North America) and then just sit back and wait for the singles to start filling your mailbox. It’s that easy to get your paws on a year’s worth of singles, and best of all: no surly record store clerk required.
