After sitting on the shelf for decades, Neil Young's hugely anticipated album Homegrown is here. Giving up the goods a few days early, Young is now streaming his latest archival treasure for all the hear.Over on Neil Young Archives website, you can now stream the album here.
Young had previously described Homegrown as "the unheard bridge between Harvest and Comes a Time," adding that the album is "a record full of love lost and explorations... a record that has been hidden for decades. Too personal and revealing to expose in the freshness of those times…"
As previously reported, a few of the tracks may be familiar to Neil Young fans. "Love Is a Rose" initially appeared on his 1977 career-spanning Decade compilation, while "Homegrown" and closer "Star of Bethlehem" were included on Young's 1977 album American Stars n' Bars. Meanwhile, "Little Wing" first appeared on 1980's Hawks & Doves, while a version of "White Line" with Crazy Horse was recorded for 1990's Ragged Glory.
Homegrown arrives officially on Friday (June 19) through Warner, but you can hear it all play out for yourself now.
