Steve Earle Takes I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive on Canada-Friendly North American Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 13, 2011

On April 26, Steve Earle will release I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive, his first LP of original material since 2007's Washington Square Serenade, via New West. Then, on May 12, he will release a novel of the same name through Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. In support of the releases, the politically minded songwriter will be heading out on a North American with a number of stops in Canada.

Most of the dates are in Canada's western half. In June, Earle will come through Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, playing eight shows. This includes major cities like Vancouver and Calgary, as well as smaller stops like Swift Current, SK, and Northern Battleford, SK.

Two months after that string of shows, Earle will wrap up the North American trek with one last Canadian gig in Toronto on August 20. See the schedule below. Earle will be joined on the road by his band the Dukes and Duchesses featuring Allison Moorer.
